   1. Check for understanding, "Final Check"
   2. Ch 9 Vocabulary Acquisition Sheet Chapter 9 Practice.pptx
      1. For a "Storm Check", students will fold a paper into four sections and label the quadrants, I,II, III, IV, then, complete the ppt: Students should answer either "example" or "non-example" for each word and write what they think each word means.
2. Article: "In Praise of Arranged Marriages"
   • Chart the text:
     • Continue Charting: Have students work in pairs to summarize, then use the verbs provided to say what the author is "doing" in each chunk.
